Ednova™ is school management software published by Juno AI Private Limited ("we", "us"). These terms govern use of the Ednova web application, the Ednova Android and iOS apps, and this website. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Ednova is sold to institutions, not to individuals. The contracting customer is your school — the school, college or trust that signed an order form or quotation with us. That signed document, together with these terms and the Privacy Policy, is the whole agreement; where the order form and these terms conflict, the order form wins.
If you are a parent, guardian, student or member of staff, you are using Ednova under your school's account, on access your school granted and can withdraw. You are not our customer, you owe us no fees, and your relationship over the records themselves is with your school. These terms still set out what you may and may not do with the software.
Accounts are created by your school, not by self sign-up. You may use Ednova only through the account your school issued you, and only for the role it was issued for.
Where a school enables sign-in for students, a student's account shows that student's own records only. A guardian sees the records of the children linked to them and no others. Nothing in these terms grants a parent or student access to another family's data, and attempting to obtain it is a breach of clause 4.
You must not:
Reads of sensitive personal data are recorded. If a school asks who looked at a record and when, the software can answer.
Fees are set out in your school's order form — ordinarily charged per enrolled student per academic year, for the modules the school has switched on. Prices shown on this website are indicative; the order form governs.
School fees paid by families are a separate matter. Where a school enables online fee payment, the payment is processed by Razorpay on their own page and settles to your school's account, not ours. We never see or store card or bank credentials. A refund of a school fee is your school's decision to make and ours only to reflect in the record. Payment-gateway charges are governed by the school's own arrangement with the gateway.
Your school is the Data Fiduciary and we are the Data Processor under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We process personal data only on your school's instructions and for the purpose of running the service.
Your school is responsible for obtaining the consents the Act requires — including verifiable parental consent before a child's data is processed — and warrants to us that it has done so before uploading personal data. The Privacy Policy sets out what is collected, how long it is kept, who else sees it, and what rights you have.
Your school owns its data. We claim no ownership of student records, marks, fee history or uploaded documents, and we do not sell them, share them with advertisers, or use them to train machine-learning models.
A school may export its data at any time during the subscription, not only on exit. The export is a ZIP file containing the records as CSV files, the uploaded documents alongside them, and a manifest naming every dataset with its row count and stating anything deliberately excluded and why.
Retention periods the software enforces automatically are listed in the Privacy Policy.
Delivering the service means using other providers — for SMS, WhatsApp, email, push notifications, online payments and hosting. Each is named in the Privacy Policy with what it receives and why.
These providers have their own terms, and their availability is not something we control. Where a provider fails, we will say so rather than let a message quietly disappear; delivery outcomes are recorded so a school can see what was sent and what was not. We may change a provider where it improves reliability, and will tell schools when a change affects them.
We do not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee. We would rather say so than publish a number we have not yet earned the operating history to stand behind. What we do commit to:
If personal data held in Ednova is exposed, altered or lost without authorisation, we will tell your school promptly, notify the Data Protection Board of India within the period the DPDP Rules require, support your school in informing affected people, and preserve the access records that show what happened. The Privacy Policy sets this out in full.
The software, its source code, design, documentation and the Ednova name and mark belong to Juno AI Private Limited. Your school gets a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for the subscription period, for its own educational operations. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of the software, and the right ends when the subscription does.
Content a school or its users upload remains theirs. By uploading it, a school grants us only the permission needed to host, process and display it in order to run the service.
Where a school asks us to apply its own name and branding to the application, that branding remains the school's, and we use it only for that purpose.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited under Indian law.
Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows:
Your school will indemnify us against claims arising from its use of the service in breach of these terms, or from personal data it uploaded without the consent the Act requires.
Acceptance of these terms, and records produced by the software, are electronic records under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and do not require a physical signature or seal to be valid.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Fatehabad, Haryana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
We may change these terms. Where a change materially affects a school's rights we will give notice before it takes effect, and the version and date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the service after that date means the change is accepted.
